Job Title: Technical Documentation Engineer
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Work with architects, design, applications, product marketing to scope, design, and develop reference manuals
• Updating existing documentation with new product features
• Editing and publishing hardware documents like data sheet, chip errata, application note, product brief, and engineering bulletin
• Reviewing work generated by other teams for compliance to guidelines and providing edits as requested
• Contribute to continuous improvement of doc standards, tools, and processes
• Collaboration skills with design teams spread across different geographies
• Strong interpersonal skills and desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Recommended Skills:
• Basic understanding of microprocessor architecture
• Working knowledge of an XML-based authoring environment – this includes working with a content management system and an XML authoring tool
• Awareness of basic DITA concepts and structured authoring
• Basic understanding of working on Linux platform and a scripting language
• Hands-on experience with FrameMaker, Adobe Acrobat, Inkscape
• Good to have some knowledge of Product Data Management tool (like Agile or Enovia), SharePoint, Atlassian products (like Jira, Confluence, GIT), and Yammer.
Experience and qualification:
• 2 – 4 years of experience in technical documentation
• Candidates should have a Bachelor or Master’s degree of Engineering/Technology in Electronics, Computer Science, or equivalent.
